Your GetaTollFreeDomain® domain is every bit as valid as one registered through Network Solutions. At GetaTollFreeDomain®, we think that affordable and user-friendly domain name registration is long overdue.
Are there any hidden fees when I use GetaTollFreeDomain.com?
There are no hidden fees, charges, or other "catches" to using GetaTollFreeDomain. If you want to register a domain name for one year with GetaTollFreeDomain®, then you pay GetaTollFreeDomain® US$39.99 for 2 years and that's all. You are not required to host your site on our servers or pay any additional fees.
Can I pay for domains using something other than a credit card?

How do I create an account with GetaTollFreeDomain.com?
When you register a domain, an account is created for you. You can visit our home page at www.getatollfreedomain.com and click on the "Manage Domains" button. Enter your username and password and you will be able to manage your domains.
I forgot my username and password. What do I do?
Email service@getatollfreedomain.com with your domain name and we will send your information to your email of record.

What are the rules for domain names? Do domain names longer than 26 characters work? What is the maximum length?
Letters and numbers are always valid characters in a domain name. Hyphens may also be used, but may not begin or end your domain name. Spaces and special characters, such as exclamation points (!) and underscores (_), are never permitted in domain names. A domain name can be can be up to 67 characters long, including the four characters used to identify the top-level domain .com, .net, or .org.
Does GetaTollFreeDomain.com allow the registration of domain names with top-level domains other than .com, .net, and .org?
Not at the present time. .com, .net, and .org are by far the most common and popular web addresses on the internet today. We are working on becoming authorized to sell domains under other top-level domains in the future.
Can I transfer my domain name from another registrar to GetaTollFreeDomain®?
You can transfer domains using the transfer utility our Transfer Domains page. We tack a year onto however long you have left on your current registration.
What if I want to buy a domain name, but I don't have any nameservers of my own?
You can register a domain name with GetaTollFreeDomain® even though you don't have any nameservers. GetaTollFreeDomain® will register your domain name with the GetaTollFreeDomain® nameservers as the default. You may set a domain to your own nameservers at any time you wish. A name server is a computer with the software and the data required to resolve domain names to Internet Protocol (IP) numbers. An IP number is a unique, numeric identifier used to specify hosts and networks.

Do I receive some kind of verification or documentation after I have registered a domain name with GetaTollFreeDomain.com?
Yes. After you register a domain name you will automatically receive an email confirmation from GetaTollFreeDomain®. If your credit card is denied, then you will receive an email notification that your credit card was declined and the domains were not registered.
Once I register a domain with GetaTollFreeDomain.com, how long does it take to become active?
After registering a domain with GetaTollFreeDomain® or any other registrar of domains, it typically takes up to 72 hours for your domain to show up in the WHOIS database and for the information on the new domain to propagate to all the root DNS servers. Nevertheless, once you register a domain through GetaTollFreeDomain® you are the undisputed owner of the domain. If you check for the availability of the domain name using WHOIS, it may indicate that the domain is available when it is not. If you believe it's taking unusually long for your domain to show up as active, email service@getatollfreedomain.com.
I registered my domain name, now what? Why can't I find my web page?
A domain name tells visitors where you can be found on the Internet. After registering a domain you will still need a place to put your web page. Thus, you separately have to associate your domain name with a web page or website. GetaTollFreeDomain® registers domain names and will in the future supply users free web hosting and URL forwarding. You are welcome to host your domain with any company you choose. Simply enter the details of their nameservers in the management area of our site. We update the DNS info immediately, but it can take up to 72 hours to propagate to all the root DNS servers.

Can I still use my own nameservers with GetaTollFreeDomain.com, and make changes to my information like I can with Network Solutions? How do I do it?
You can use your own nameservers when registering with GetaTollFreeDomain®, and make changes to your information just like you can with Network Solutions. Just click on the "Nameservers" option in the "Management" area. You fully control the information related to your new domain. You may use your own nameservers, and use your own facilities to host the site. We do not impose any restrictions on the use of your domain name.
How do change DNS? How do I transfer to another host?
1. Get the DNS info from your web hosting company.
2. Go into the management area and click on the manage nameserver page.
3. Edit the current DNS info with the DNS info from your hosting company. Do not worry about the IP addresses as they self configure after you save the changes.
4. Do not check the remove next to the IP addresses unless you want to remove a specific name server - DNS, IP and all.
5. Make sure that you save the changes when you are done.
6. If you do remove a name server and the DNS info goes away completely, you can add it again by using the 'Add Additional Secondary Name Servers' box at the bottom of the name server page.
7. To make sure that you have done things correctly, logout and back in.
8. It can take up to 72 hours for changes to propagate throughout the internet.

1. If you do remove a name server and the DNS info goes away completely, you can add it again by using the 'Add Additional Secondary Name Servers' box at the bottom of the name server page.
2. To make sure that you have done things correctly, logout and back in.
3. It can take up to 72 hours for changes to propagate throughout the internet.
I have accidentally registered the wrong domain name through GetaTollFreeDomain.com. What can I do? Will the fee apply again to register the correct name?
Unfortunately, once you have registered a domain, the process cannot be undone. If you wish to register another your credit card will be charged for each subsequent domain you successfully register with GetaTollFreeDomain®.
Does modifying the domain, contacts, or nameservers cost anything?
Modifications to all records through use of GetaTollFreeDomain® interfaces are free of charge.
What does it mean to "park" my domain?
We will hold onto your domain by 'parking' it on our nameservers until you have a web host.
When I do 'WhoIs' at NSI, why doesn't it show my information?
With the new shared registration system model, the nature of the WHOIS server has changed. Traditionally, the InterNIC maintained the WHOIS server for .com, .net and .org domain names, and a single query returned full WHOIS data including registrant, administrative contact, billing contact, technical contact, and nameserver information. Under the new system, the registry WHOIS simply contains information on which Registrar is authoritative for a given domain.
